Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
